No, I’ve never tried money orders. But since they’re like cash, I’m sure it would be fine. 🙂
I now charge final balance before even booking a session… this was after a several people flaked out and I had had their appts reserved for several weeks in advance. It’s a bummer when you’ve reserved an afternoon for them, and not made any plans that day because you thought you would be working and then they cancel for a reason which is not much more than something like – ” Well, I’ve got a really busy day today and I’ve just got too much I’ve gotta do… etc..” I rent an office space for sessions, so when someone cancels last minute, that’s a loss of revenue I need to pay rent on that space.
Now that clients have to pay before they book with me, it seems to have cut out the ones who were not *really* serious about going thru the QHHT process. (I do have a very clear refund/reschedule/cancellation policy which is stated before they pay.)
I only do QHHT sessions on weekends and if I have pushed everything in my life aside to reserve time for you, then I’m expecting you’re doing the same since we’ve already spoken and agreed to have a session together.

The people who are really serious about having a session will not think twice about committing with payment *before* their session and if they are thinking twice because they have to pay, then in my opinion, there’s a good chance they may find a reason to wiggle out of it.
Bottom line is I’m more than happy to make clients a priority but expect that
same respect, especially when a client has initiated contact with me,
asking me to do so and a financial commitment demonstrates that.
Our time and energy is valuable and I desire to work with people who get that and don’t waste mine. 🙂
    Hope this is helpful.
