Just so you know, KDP known as Kindle Direct Publishing is now publishing print format books. When Amazon dissolved Createspace.com last year, they moved all the books and projects to KDP. It was an easy 2 minute process.
Bottom line: keep it simple
When I did my research last year, there are publishing companies that want to charge $20,000 to $50,000 to publish my book, give me a website, prepare a newsletter, etc. Everything they offered I already had in place. I published my book for a fraction of the cost.
Be aware when you give your manuscript to a “publishing house” you give up control of the editing and the finished product. Years ago I attended a four day seminar on self publishing versus publishing house and agents. I learned the nitty gritty about publishing all types of books.
