Gladys, client referrals are a bit different than someone who has a large following, and I think your plan is a good one for clients.
Irina, it sounds to me as if you are already doing lovely exchanges with this person.
I’ve exchanged referrals, so sent clients and received clients, for years with several well known speakers and healers with significant followings. Not once have I paid or received a referral fee. For me it is simple friendship and business courtesy, and would never have thought to ask or charge a fee for a client referral. Nor has anyone ever asked or hinted.
In some ways the metaphysical community is a small one- and, if you start a “program” such as this one, you might well find it hard to contain or control or keep equatable with others.
All that being said, I do of course have the BQH course affiliate program, which is not based on clients but course sales and that has worked out very well- I suppose one could arrange such a program for services too, but the admin side of that is not a small consideration and I still think it would be hard to keep up if you got more interviews with other well known people. Some of my best affiliate support is from other teachers, who offer their own courses. 🙂
And – just to mention, we had to alter the code and system of our quantumhealers.com Directory system to give our members referrals without charging you the practitioner anything, because most professional Directories of this kind take a percentage of fees for even that “search engine” type of referral. And it makes sense, because the cost of business and upkeep has to be made up in some way. I am glad we never went that route, it just never felt right.
