  • Dream Work! new modality category on the Directory

    Lauren Goldman Posted by Lauren Goldman on 2017-11-04 at 1:35 PM

    Hello Forum Family,

    We have had several requests lately for a dream specific modality option on the Directory and thus have set up a new modality category called “Dream Work.” You will find it on the ‘profile details’ page of your Directory account with all the other modality options.

    Please let me know if you have any questions or need any help!

    Hi Hara,

    It’s just a new option you can select in the modality options field within your Directory account that’s all

    Is it dreamwork psychotherapy/shamanism, or dream interpretation also? I am pretty good at interpreting dreams and can do it online.

    @Irina_Nola, Quantum Dreaming, the Dream work that I practice, is different then dream interpretation. We go beyond that. It borrows from other disciplines including Jungian concepts and shamanism. It definitely can help people heal, but I would hesitate to call it psychotherapy. In a sense, it defies labelling.

    @Irina_Nola part of the reason we have started out with broad groups and terms for the modality categories is because not everyone has the same definitions for the modalities. So, personally I think Dream Work includes any and all practices involving dreams. If you feel you should be listed in that category, check the modality box!

    It is a longterm goal of ours to have information/articles/videos regarding each modality category we list, specifically to help clients get an idea of what each modality listing might offer as well as provide a way that practitioners can explain the nuances of their specific practices.
    We would LOVE for you (and everyone else!) to write us something that works toward those goals if you are interested.

    There is also a method of ‘dream regression” hypnotherapy, when a client is sent into the scene from a dream, and remembers the whole dream in trance and understands its meaning…In QHHT HS or SC or Guides do dream interpretation all the time. Most people are very interested in dream interpretation, so if you do list psychic readings, it might make sense to have dream interpretation also in the directory.

    @Irina_Nola
    I didn’t know about ‘dream regression’ but I’ve lead someone through QHHT into a dream and found this approach effective and I’m considering integrating this more often.

    It is similar to any other regression, just a client is sent into a dream scene they remember instead of a past life or this life event (like ET contact)…it works best on recent dreams

    What an interesting topic!
    I have the feeling that this type of work is becoming more recognized
    and demanded.
    I would suppose that it is related with the ascension process and all the personal and global revelations that come with that.
    We spend 1/3 of our life sleeping and most of us are completely or partially unaware of ourselves in that state.
    I have many clients coming for a QHHT and often ask me about their dreams.SOme even include dream related questions in their list.
    I would love to know more about it!!!Such a mystery…..

    @Luc_Therrien, @Irina_Nola and anybody else having knowledge in this topic,
    would you like to have a zoom discussion about that (Dreams and QHHT) , if there are more people interested?

    @Candace_CrawGoldman What do you think?

    Hello all I love the whole subject of dreams…and this is the first post I am reading this morning and of course it is because….

    I just woke up from a dream that I am itching to tell my son- I am at his house visiting – and I think the dream was of significance- (in a really great way!)

    @Luc_Therrien maybe you would even consider doing a public zoom discussion/show of your modality with me on Zoom?

    That would help even more people understand this work, and introduce the subject to a wider range of people as well, and help them find our practitioner directory.

    What do the rest of you think of that idea?

    I’d actually like to do more of this- a PUBLIC description/discussion of some other modalities. Like Lauren @Directory_Admin writes above, writing an article for us, or doing a show, helps clients find us ALL- and helps other practitioners consider joining us.

    🙂
    Thank you.

    If anybody is interested in dream interpretation – there is a fantastic forum on Facebook ‘Edgar Cayce Dream Interpretation”, where people post their dreams and get all kinds of interpretations, from people who studied EC’s dream meanings, Jung’s analysis, psychic readings and what not. Great place to try your own skills or get your dreams interpreted. It is a huge forum which moves really fast, but if you hang there for a while you will know ‘the core group” seriously interested in this.
