Sorry, maybe i gave too much information, it was just for the broad comprehension of the case.
As i said, the important thing is that THE LAST 8 DIGITS ARE IN PAIRS please !

Okay. I think I see where I’m explaining poorly. I’m adding a video to explain as fully as possible.

**also its important to note, that whatever the display, click to call will work! And this will not be an issue when we have our custom platform.

Computers read left to right. France’s international format has 11 digits, and domestic is only 10 digits.

If i use the international format it will fill left to right, and someone who has used the domestic number of digits will have a lone digit hanging at the end. xx.x.xx.xx.xx.x because i would have selected the format for 11 digits thus making it incorrectly display for anyone who just add 10 digits.

the reverse is also true. If i use the domestic format and format it for 10 digits: xx.xx.xx.xx.xx then someone who add the international amount of numbers- 11 – will have a phone number display like xx.xx.xx.xx.xxx

There is no way to format it from right to left to ensure that the last set of digits display correctly. I recognize that that’s the important thing, but because of the left to right fill…it’s just not possible. It’ll either be correct for international, or domestic…but not both, because of the left to right fill

The video shows the whole thing, with each formatting example:

I switched the standard format from international to domestic. Which means that @SandraSandrine_Souillard your phone number is displayed correctly…but like Nathalie Guyot’s phone number is now not formatted with the last 8 digits being pairs because she chose the international number.

My head is spinning but I get it now, thanks Lauren. 🙂

The important thing to know is that it will all …just work, even if it looks funny.

And- when we can be in control of all of this one our very own platform, we will even fix THAT.

Love to all our lovely French sisters and brothers too.
