Want to Book More Sessions?

I am a firm believer in the universal law of what you put out you will receive back.
I have a very full appointment schedule. This did not happen by accident and although, yes, my contact information on DoloresCannon.com is displayed on the Practitioner page along with the other moderators of this forum, I promise you, this is not where the great majority of my session appointments come from. (update in 2015 I am no longer listed or recognized on the official website in any way, quite the opposite.)
I work my business and I promote myself locally and on social media in both Austin and Wichita. This took some time and effort. (Update in 2018- I used to commute back and forth from Kansas to Texas and no longer do this)
I have MEETUP groups in both areas. I hold free information and entertaining meetings in person, in real life where people can meet me. I bring Dolores Books. Sometimes I bring my computer and show one of her youtube videos or other clips. Last night I showed the Gregg Braden clip of the Chinese medicineless hospital and the woman whose bladder tumor disappears in 3 minutes. Most had never seen that clip. I believe it supports the idea of Quantum Healing and instantaneous healing.
I talk about my sessions, I tell stories. I pick a subject and encourage discussions. I offer free brief group regressions at the end of the presentations. I have a collection of Dolores books that I offer for sale. I tell them they can save on postage if they buy them from me right then and there. You too can contact Joy in the office and arrange to have books on consignment. You can make a few dollars doing this…you can become the local Dolores expert too, just like me.
I contact OTHER metaphysical groups and attend their meetings. I sit by people and we talk. I have my cards ready to hand out or just mention my work and plant that seed in conversations that come up. Sometimes I am a GUEST speaker at other groups. For Example, I regularly am a guest speaker at a Women’s Shamanic Drumming circle in Austin. Where they usually do a drum journey, I lead them on an extended group regression. Sometimes these members remember and recommend me to friends in the future. Getting your face out there in real life is important in regards to trust and allowing others to feel your energy…,.
I have had meetings at my home, an empty conference room at a business, local library and a back room of a cafe. I always book appointments after those meetings.
I had another meeting last night. I had 16 people attend. My subject was “The Evolving Human” also CORe healing, another modality I have learned and speak about. I talked about my sessions of the last week and the Shift. I talked about the new Convoluted 4 book. I sold 3 books. I booked 4 confirmed sessions and I have three people getting back to me after checking my open dates with their own calendars. How did these people find me? Primarily the MEETUP.com group. Others were former clients who brought friends or family to meet me.
Some read my blog or website. (Update in 2018 YouTube has far surpassed blogs and websites! Video is where it is AT!)
I market my practice, my business, regularly. In the distant past I tried simply sitting at home and waited for people to find me, it did not work.
Have you given presentations? Have you started a group? Have you contacted other groups and offered to talk about Quantum Healing? Do you have cards or information in your purse or car to hand out if the opportunity arises? Do you write a blog? Do you have a website? Blogging platforms are FREEEEEEE. Its one of the easiest ways to begin to market yourself. (Update – VIDEO, cannot stress this enough, want more sessions? Do videos! YouTube or Facebook LIVE)
Most areas have local health fairs or such where you can set up a table. Have you considered that way of marketing?
Have you tried bartering with other holistic practitioners? Traded for say, a reiki session or a tapping session or a massage? Its great to network with others who are interested in health and healing.
Something else to consider is this: Do you contribute here, on our Forum? Or do you only come here to read and receive the energy and contributions of others? You are not required to contribute, of course, but I suggest to you that when you do, in any significant way at all, even with the smallest comments or observations or sharing of parts of your own work, you plant seeds for receiving in your own practice.
I’ll leave you with one more suggestion. Do you program your future appointments or ask for help from the SC? If not, I suggest you try. Ask to be inspired about how you can spread the word about your practice. Imagine giving talks to full rooms and then people standing in line to book appointments with you. Create that reality.
I promise you, it is possible.

Fantastic tips to spread awareness of Dolores’ technique to people!!!
As a newbie, I shall say I dig right into the forum to grab whatever information that will help in my practice, doing quietly in the sense…without responding or contributing. I was hesitant to write, doubting if I have known enough to contribute. Later as I see people are responding freely and sharing their ideas generously, I tell myself why not just put in a short little comment. I waited for the right feel to respond and now this is my 6th. It is so true that no matter how small the contribution is, the ball just starts rolling. I will definitely going to contribute more. Hahaha…!!!

I also list events and go to expo to give out information, the more your name is out there the better.

Great ideas, as always, Candace. Thank you for your generosity of spirit in sharing them with us.
You are so, right. People don’t find us. We have to make ourselves and our work known. One way I get a constant flow of clients is to ring up metaphysical and other groups (including Meet-Up groups) and offer to speak free. You may be surprised to learn how many takers there are and as Candace says, you’ll always have people booking sessions. What I’ve found is people are fascinated by the stories – our session stories – the S-C, getting answers to their questions, the miraculous healings, the possibility of transforming lives.
Last week I was at a Psychic Development Association talk. Was offered a speaking slot and opportunity to write about our work in their magazine!
Recently a somnambulistic client (with whom I’ve done lots of sessions) agreed to go into trance in front of a meditation group (I used the keyword) and he channelled information for the group from the S-C. The S-C had given us the green light to do this in a prior session, “Spread the word. More people need to hear about this.” The next time we’ll take individual questions. This generated a huge amount of interest and session bookings. The attendees told their friends and for the next talk we have 3 times the number of people attending booked in (over 60 & growing)….

I am new at being a QHHT and don’t feel confident holding a meeting quite yet…any tips on just getting volunteers? I’m looking for ppl to practice with, and also in need of a quiet place. The few sessions I have been able to do have always been interrupted by some noisey disturbance.

Take baby steps to begin with.Begin with a few like-minded friends that you are totally comfortable with, using the group regression script.Just begin – and watch the SC move right in to support and help you along the way – word by word.We have only to turn up – then to ask for that connection and guidance and it is there in a nano-second!Try it and let us know how you get on.And if you check the archives there will be sessions with all sorts of disturbances, noisy drills with road works etc etc. All my last sessions have the noises of a beautiful pheasant who has adopted me and my garden. If he is not hitting the dining room door loudly with his beak, he is outside the window where I do my sessions doing his pheasant crowing thing! He seems to like the energy. I warn the client prior in the pre-talk about him. They usually see him strutting around and admire him – he knows he is very beautiful. But aside from alerting the client to his presence, and smiling at his crowing on the replay, I let it be as it is.Keep on going. Being a newbie is a bit like learning to ride a bike, and getting the hang of balance. Not too far to the right, not too far to the left, but coming to center where it feels more comfortable. At first it feels really strange, yet the more we do it the easier it is. You’ll soon be speeding 😉LoveKaye

I don’t have a separate space to hold sessions either, so I offer to come to the client’s home. I just request that children and/or pets not be in the same space, or if that is not possible, that there be someone else in the home (not same room) who can tend to their needs during the session.Erica
