I was watching a TV show called “I Love Lucy” where I saw Pat Collins do Hypnosis on the show. Pat had a night club in Hollywood where she would perform comedy hypnosis shows. Ever since then I have been interested in Hypnosis. I used it in high school, college and many other times where I needed to remember things and overcome anxiety to help me pass exams, interviews etc. But it wasn't until about twenty years ago that I found out how powerful a tool it was.I was a Coast Guard Merchant Marine Captain running scuba diving trips out of Palm Beach Florida when I found out how much hypnosis could change your life. I fell hurting my back. None of the options helped. I was using the highest dose of morphine that could be taken. I hated it because it messed up my body and made me so goofy that I could not function normally. The doctors wanted to do exploratory surgery to see if they could fix the nerves that were causing me so much pain. I talked it over with my neurologist and decided the risks were too great. He suggested trying holistic medicine. While some of these helped, none were a permanent fix. He then suggested I go see a friend who was a Hypnotist. While going to see the Hypnotist, he suggested that I look into doing it as a profession. The rest as they say is history. I have been doing hypnosis ever since. It truly has opened up a whole new exciting world to me. I started off my career searching for the best person I could find to teach me Hypnosis as a profession. After a long search Gerald Kein's name came to the top. You might not recognize his name but you probably recognize Brian Weiss who is well known in the field of Pass Life Regression or maybe Cal Banyan who has a multimillion dollar hypnosis center in California. Gerald Kein was their teacher as well as my mentor and teacher.  Gerald Kein worked with Dave Elman as Dave taught doctors how to do Hypnosis. Gerald Kein is the founder, director and senior instructor of The Omni Hypnosis Training Center in DeLand Florida. He is the former Executive Director of the National Board of Hypnosis Education and Certification and is currently Executive Director of the Florida Society of Professional Hypnotherapists. In addition, he serves on the advisory board and certification board of the National Guild of Hypnotists. The National Guild of Hypnotists is the oldest and largest hypnosis organization in the world. It was my privilege to be able to study under Gerald Kein to become a Board Certified Hypnotist. I felt as if I was being taught by two great men in the field of hypnosis, Dave Elman and Gerald Kein. I am also a Certified Hypnosis Instructor through the National Guild of Hypnotists. This allows me to train others to become Certified Hypnotists.While I first started off my career with Gerald Kein many years ago, I have studied under many other Hypnosis Masters since then and continue to do so.
