Dolores Cannon and Lou Farish: Their UFOLOGY and EXOPOLITICS Connection

With all eyes on the skies in 2025, let’s consider a couple of relevant researchers in Ufology and Exopolitics.

Dolores Cannon is well known for her past life regression work, and her development of Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT®). But not everyone is aware of her work in Ufology. She actually began focusing on UFO abduction cases in the 1980’s through her past-life regression work, explaining her involvement with MUFON, Mutual UFO Network.

“ I began experimenting with past life regression in 1968. In the early years of my investigations and research, I focused on exploring past lives to retrieve valuable information lost through the ages, as well as to find solutions to my subjects’ emotional and physical problems. But in 1985, I attended my first MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) meeting, opening the door to my own research on UFOs.”

The MUFON conference was started by Lou Farish and Ed Mazur in 1988. Dolores ended up taking over organizing the conference after Lou Farish’s death.

But who, exactly, was Lucius Farish?

Lucius Farish, despite never writing a book or appearing on TV, is recognized as one of the great American ufologists. He was known for his humility, never promoting himself, while working at the U.S. Post Office in Plummerville, Arkansas. His contributions to ufology were immensely important during a time when there was no internet and research into this material was difficult if not impossible to come by for the general public.

  • Early Involvement: Farish was active with organizations like APRO and MUFON, writing articles in the 1960s and 1970s, particularly on historical UFO research with Jerry Clarke.
  • UFO Newsclipping Service: Starting in the mid-1970s, he compiled a monthly newsletter summarizing UFO-related news from newspapers across the USA, providing a vital source of information before the internet era.
  • Ozark UFO Conference: After helping with an unsuccessful attempt to relaunch Project Blue Book in 1988, Farish saw potential in holding an annual UFO conference in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Launched in 1989, this event grew to become one of the largest in the U.S., attracting notable figures in ufology. Farish managed the conference until health issues forced him to pass it on and when Dolores Cannon stepped in.

Dolores was the perfect person for this role. She lived in Huntsville, Arkansas not far from Eureka Springs, and wrote several books on Starseeds and Extraterrestrial contact:

  • The Custodians (1998): This book delves into UFO abductions, suggesting that many abductions are part of a larger plan by extraterrestrials for human evolution or protection.
  • Keepers of the Garden (1993): Explores the idea that humans might have been “planted” on Earth by extraterrestrials, with insights from her hypnosis sessions.
  • Legacy From The Stars (1996): Discusses the concept of human origins being extraterrestrial and the influence of starseeds.
  • Legend Of Starcrash (1994): Focuses on a past-life regression where a subject recalled an ancient spaceship crash in Alaska, intertwining past lives with UFO lore.

On the subject as a whole, Dolores wrote, “I knew I wanted to explore UFOs and abduction cases further, but I also knew I would have to come to terms with my own trepidations. At least since the time H.G. Wells’s classic Sci-Fi tale The War of the Worlds was published in 1898, society has been influenced by science fiction books and movies that portray terrifying aliens bent on conquering Earth. Out of fear, these creatures were presented as a threat to mankind, not as they truly are.”

Farish’s legacy is defined by his service to the UFO community through his news service and the conference, characterized by his rational, open, and honest approach, devoid of self-promotion or contentious behavior often seen in the field. His contributions have left a lasting impact on American ufology.

Dolores, through her hypnotherapy sessions, uncovered information about extraterrestrial life and their interactions with humans and the Earth. She was adamant that these interactions were benevolent rather than malevolent in nature and were evidence of a more expansive universe where human consciousness plays a pivotal role.

.As global interest continues to increase about unexplained aerial (and submerged) phenomenon, I find it fascinating that two of the earliest pioneers of this work not only lived so close to each other and in a time where communication and research was difficult at best, but became colleagues and both were leaders of the same conference.

As true disclosure is potentially closer, I invite you to  join me in recognizing two of the many early explorers who shed light on a topic that is likely to be more relevant to all of us than it has ever been.
