A way to solicit more reviews from clients

When I was selling my crystals on Etsy a while back, one of the way’s that I was able to capture a 95% review conversion rate was to offer a discount for future purchases. I never specified that it had to be a good or bad review – just a review. So, was thinking about offering a 10% refund incentive if after the session, a review is left. What do you guys think of this – any better/other ideas?

@Christine_Shanesy @Candace_CrawGoldmanChristine, love that idea and I have been trying to think along similar lines. What if a 10% discount coupon could be generated immediately after completing the review? Like a reward for completing the review. A non complicated blanket coupon for the year 2019 that the client could use or give as a gift? One that is good for any BQH service since we are expanding???? How would that work?In other words, the client leaves the review, receives a discount coupon for 2019 (or for any specified period where business is slow). The Facilitator does not need to keep track of the coupon, (BQH might want to keep a record for a Tax Write off and the client gets a great promotion they can use or give away.Swapping Sessions Feed Back: (Maybe a reminder to everyone on this benefit?)
I did not realize we could
leave feedback from swapping our sessions until recently. Now that I
know, I am working to thank those members for the sessions and to
provide feedback. I have also requested feedback but it is slow, in
coming…The Holidays are always busy . . . ~:-)Client Referral Coupon?Down the road, but in the works within my mind.Swapping Sessions:
I came across a lovely lady recently needing several sessions we have agreed to swap services as money at this time was an issue for her. This way we both win!Just throwing ideas out since like you Christine, I am looking for ways to improve business and get those numbers up for reviews.Best Wishes,Cynthia -
I wonder if there could be an incentive… that was NOT a discount. Then you could send a link to say … download something when a review comes in. That would be easy to implement.
The above idea is interesting at first blush, but would need a great deal of capability we at the Directory currently do not have, but might possibly have when we move to a unified platform (a muliti-year project!)

I like that @Candace_CrawGoldman … I can maybe send a free meditation or something similar ?

I’ve never thought along this line.
I politley ask clients to please leave a comment/review if they have time, and they normally don’t mind. Maybe no incentive is needed. -
@Chrysilla_Lewies – yes, if your clients are taking that time, that’s great! Quite a few of my clients have as well but their are always those that don’t for whatever reason – despite my giving them the link to make it easy. These are clients that have a great session too so it’s likely that they just don’t take time I guess – get distracted, forget …. who knows 🙂

I ask each one of my clients (in writing) to send me or post a testimonial, however, I get very few of them in comparison with the volume of sessions that I do. I’ve always thought that if I get one, great….but if not, that’s ok too. I’ve always appreciated the ones that have come in and focused on them instead of the lack of more of them.

I just started practicing BQH this summer, and as I worked through over 20 complimentary practice sessions, I asked for a review, and a good majority of my clients provided one. I think they felt a little more compelled because they received a very valuable service, and a review in lieu of monetary payment was a pretty good trade 🙂

You will get more reviews if you tell your clients that they do not have to use their full name – just the first name or even a pseudonym. Some people are fine with using their real name and even adding their website if they are into holistic healing themselves, but many ‘mainstream” clients do not want anybody to know that they had a past life regression or ‘alternative” healing session. This becomes a big issue with reviews on Google or Yelp, as these sites automatically show the poster’s email and screen name, which is usually their real name.

Clients can add their name a pseudonym or initials. You can mention this to the client but it is CLEARLY stated twice actually, in the instructions you are told you can “choose” your name and in the box provided to type the name it suggests you can add a first name or even anonymous. I have had many leave their initials.
@Chrysilla_Lewies I wonder if you have a preponderance of British clients? Always so mannerly! Maybe that is the difference?
I have not been asking every client to leave a review. I did for a while when the Directory system was up and new. I sometimes ask clients that email me after with nice things to say if they would copy and paste for a review… but not all of them do that.
I think people mostly are well meaning and think they will “get around to it” and then just don’t because they get busy or forget.
I PERSONALLY like the idea of a free download meditation or whatever over the idea of future discounts, but if the discount idea works in your own business go for it.
Remember that OTHER people can leave you a review as well! Not just clients, but colleagues or people who respect your work and know you well.
Love,

@Irina_Nola and @Candace_CrawGoldman I updated the form to make it even more clear real names need not be used, nor will email addresses be displayed:

I ask clients to write reviews when there is a high note in the session. I wouldn’t do it in trance, of course, but when you decompress them after, or if you see them a week or a month later and they tell you how their lives have changed due to the session. That is when I say, “Write me a review and say that – people would be interested to know it can bring them peace and resolution.”
If people think it will help others as well as you, it strikes a chord. We all need help sometimes.
I have never offered a discount. I think it lessens the value of the service. My worth is solid.
Besides, the reviews that are spontaneous definitely sound more authentic.

B”HI usually ask the client to write a review during the follow-up coaching session when they’re enthusiastic about the session. But…Many of the reviews which came in were so general that they weren’t worth much. And there were others who had a difficult time figuring out what to write. So I made up a document called “Tips for Writing a Testimonial”. When I ask a client for a review, or if they offer one on their own, I mention it to them and they are usually appreciative and happy to have it emailed to them.A copy is attached. Feel free to use and/or adapt whatever you like. It was written for QHHT clients.Blessings
