    Hello!

I am curious if anyone has a background of counseling and how BQH/hypnosis fits or doesn’t fit into the counseling process. Should I keep the two businesses separate? Is there maybe even a way where some insurance providers might pay for sessions that include hypnosis?

Overall any perspectives shared would be appreciated as I decide how to build this new branch of services. Thanks!

Interesting and valid questions! I am a school counselor by day, but I absolutely use those skills in my hypnosis sessions. That being said, I don’t bill insurance or use my metaphysical skills with my students – those two domains are separate. Hopefully, someone will be able to provide some helpful advice!

I’ve heard of licensed therapists being able to utilize and bill for hypnosis sessions. I think that it depends on the scope of your certification/licensing and where you live. The laws will vary depending on the country and state that you live in and the licensing org. You’ll need to check both of these out thoroughly and not depend on what others say, to avoid any problems.

    Blessings
