    Hi all!
Can someone tell me about the Calendar tab that you see at quantumhealers.com? How do events get placed on the calendar? Can anyone see the events? Is this for all practitioners to advertise events on?
    Thanks! Allison

    Hi Allison,

Anyone with a Directory account can add events to the Calendar, and we would love for you to do so! It is a public Calendar, you can add group events, online events, classes, workshops, webinars, if you happen to be traveling to another location and want to offer specials there etc.

You can add an event within your Directory profile, here’s the internal link to that page: https://www.quantumhealers.com/account/events/add – you’ll have to login or be logged in to get to that page within your profile.

You can add all kinds of info about your event (cost, location, description, time, even meta details for better SEO) and each event gets it own unique URL so that you can share it event more easily : )

Let me know if you have anymore questions or if you need any help!

It’s a great feature I have used and I do hope that practitioners get a chance to use it more.

So, I’ve added some calendar events and have two follow up questions. First, what can you tell me about the SEO data? Second, when I look at the calendar (as a potential client would), I can click on the event and see a pop up window but I can’t figure out how to enlarge the pop up to see the details….

    Hi Allison,

To see the details of an event popup, click the title or anywhere on the photo of the event – that will take you to the specific event URL.

About the SEO details option – you do not HAVE to fill that out, but you can. SEO is a HUGE subject, whole businesses are built around it, but here’s some basics:

meta info is information for search engines and social media basically.
You know how when you share a link on facebook you’ll usually get a preview that has a title, a photo and a short one or two line description? That’s meta information.
The meta info fields give you a chance to tell the search engines and social media which info is correct – otherwise those systems will take their best guess and you might get incorrect or no preview info shared.
The meta title is just your video title. The meta description is whatever short one or two line description you’d like to appear with your video on link previews. All social media has different character limits, so if you add a description that’s too long your description will get cut off on the preview, so keep it short, sweet and ideally – catchy enough to make someone click on the link!
The Meta keywords are more important for search engines. The goal is to tell a search engine that your content is relevant if someone were to search for something similar – BUT you ideally don’t want to use one word keywords since those usually have so many results yours will get lost.
    Here are some basics:
    – keywords are actually more than just words – a keyword can be ” past life regression ” that’s a single ‘keyword’
    – single keywords are harder to rank well on vs a keyword phrase (also called longtail keywords) because there’s too much competition. Imagine how many search results you’ll get if you search ‘hypnosis’ in google…it’s a massive amount. If you just label your video with the keyword ‘hypnosis’ you’re throwing your video in the same pool as all the other results that came up in that search for hypnosis…and it’s less likely someone will even see your video since you’ll be on page 59 of the search results just because there are soooo many.
-longtail keywords are more helpful because they are more specific. For instance if i was selling loveseats, I’d sell more furniture if I tagged my loveseat website with keywords like “antique loveseat” or “rustic loveseat” or “super comfy loveseat” rather than just ‘loveseat’ because when someone searches for ‘antique loveseat’ on google, the google search engine will see that my site is more relevant to what that person is searching for than some other site that has just added the keyword ‘loveseat’
    – adding 3-5 keywords is about the sweet spot for keywords, but any more than 10 and you ‘dilute’ the keyword strength. 3-5 is about right.
-if your keyword is in your title, all the better, that makes it ‘stronger’ because it’s even more relevant

I hope that helps, please let me know if I can clarify anything else!

    Thanks so much @Directory_Admin!
So, for some reason, the calendar event shows am, even though the event itself is correct in showing pm – might be a glitch (two items in Nov are doing this – one is mine, one is not).
With regard to the meta title, is that only for a video?

    Hi Allison,

Good catch about the time display issue! Thank you for bringing it to my attention, I’ll get right on fixing that.

Meta title is the title for any item – photo album, audio file, article, video etc. we added optional SEO details to just about everything to help everyone market (or not) their content as much (or little) as desired.
