How do you find out when someone @ you?

Hello everyone,
I recently saw that I was being @ on a comment and realized that I don’t know how I get notification when someone @ me. Do you know where to look for this?
Hope the question is clear!
Thank you.

I you click on your name at the top – the same place you can see and correct your profile – look to the left of your screen and you should see “notifications” – click on that and you can customize what you want to receive or not.
Hope that helps. Also there is a video above on how to use the forum and I know there is additional information there on how to navigate around.

Hi Stephanie (and anyone else having notification questions)…
I took a peek at your preferences and you don’t have what you want selected. Here is the link to a quick video that shows you how to customize your email and pop-up message notifications, to include notifying you if you are mentioned. It is under the category ‘New Forum Users Start Here.’
You want to watch video #11 and don’t forget to ‘save’ at the bottom. 🙂

Candace

sorry Mykal or anyone else who could help?
I chose the ‘pop-up’ notification. and @me to check. i enable the pop ups for http://qhht.vanillacommunities.com/, and then i close this page and open again and nothing happens.
how does this pop up looks like? is it because i can’t @ myself? could someone please @ me? maybe i need to wait?
the videos don’t have this topic. or, maybe i just don’t know what is the proper name for this function…
any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you Candace!
I got a pop up when you commented here! success!
I’m going to watch the video now to see if I’m missing something.
Would you, who are reading this, @ me so I can check? Maybe it didn’t work because it doesn’t work when one @ oneself.
Thank you!

Thank you Mario!
I got pop up saying you commented here but not because you @ me because… just got message from Candace that I actually didn’t check the ‘mention me’ part. I guess I was too excited about these new functions! I guess it’s okay now. Thank you for supporting my silliness!
