I need some guidance on Zoom and Internet issues.
I have had a lot of internet problems in New Orleans since hurricane Ida – my upload speeds are very low, I already signed for a plan with a higher upload speed, it worked for a while, but I am having this issue again, the technician is coming next week, they can’t do anything over the phone consultation with the customer service, they send a signal – and my download speed gets really fast, but upload speed is still very slow. I think the cable got damaged by the hurricane. I am with Metro PCS on the phone and signed for their hotspot plan, I also started saving recordings on the cloud instead of my computer. Plus, I work without headphones and record everything on an audio recorder as a backup (I like Zoom audio more than recording digital sound on a recorder, it is a bit too loud and less clear, but at least I know that I have a backup). Is there any advice you can give me on technology in this situation? Can you recommend a hotspot with a ‘pay as you use data” plan? Did you ever have any problems with cloud recordings on Zoom? How do you deal with situations when the Internet disconnects or slows down on your side? Thanks, Irina
