    Hi Everyone,

    We encountered a software ‘bug’ yesterday that came with a platform ‘upgrade’ (if you can call it that.)

    What’s happening is fairly benign, but it is confusing so let me explain what’s happening.

    The problem is only on the Directory and not the Forum. When a lead is generated by a prospective client to one of our practitioners, the normal email notifications are sent…all that is working fine. BUT, what the system is also doing is randomly sending this lead alert to a few other practitioners, in addition to the intended practitioner. The client does NOT know this is happening and consequently the client may hear from multiple practitioners and wonder what the heck???

    So how do you know if you were the intended practitioner or if you should ignore this lead. On the email notification that you have received a new inquiry, if you scroll down in the message, below the client’s comments, you will see a URL link to the Directory location where this inquiry resides. If your name is at the end of the URL link, then you are the intended practitioner. If there is someone else’s name, then just decline the lead and delete the message and we apologize for the confusion.

    We reported this problem to the dev team yesterday when it surfaced and we hope it will be fixed later today or tomorrow. We thought about just deleting the ‘un-intended’ lead notifications as they occur but that will only create more confusion as you click on something that would no longer be there.

    Hi again everyone,

    I’ve been informed that the bug has been fixed so if anyone is seeing any anomalous items on your Directory listing or notifications that originated after 5PM US CT today, please let us know at [email protected]. Sorry again for the confusion and issue.
