  • This is what I share with clients before and after their sessions. Advice?

I’ve used these links for years and haven’t really “updated” these for a while.  I thought I’d ask other smart people for advice.   I don’t want to overwhelm anyone, but I also want to give clients a chance to properly prepare.  Do you think this is about the right AMOUNT of info?  Would you edit anything out, or add anything??

    Here’s what I (typically) send:

Your Perfect Session- Preparing for Your BQH or QHHT Experience

I generally also send this, which goes over my policies and best practices:

    Get Ready to Engage!

This is what I share AFTER:

    After Your Session

I tend to play it by ear, client by client what I share since not everyone needs an “introduction”.

What do you think?  Too much?  Too little?  Anything you’d add, remove, change, or reformat? Any links that don’t work, or text you can’t read?  (sometimes what I see isn’t AT ALL what the public sees- it’s so weird!) Thanks in advance!

You mentioned that you’ve been sending this for years. What do your clients say about it? Do they read it? What aspects do they find helpful and what do they have difficulty with?

My thoughts are to refrain from using the word “vows”. You tell them to make vows several times, but there is no telling what wording they will actually be using, and what they may inadvertently be vowing. Vows are carried over from lifetime to lifetime.

Instead, you may want to consider using words like commitment, decision, take on yourself, firm commitment, undertake, decide, resolve, agree, etc.

    Blessings

    Hello Julia!

I took a look at the Perfect Session page. It’s very pretty but I found it hard to read with the background pictures. I would leave out the Bathroom break part. People can sleep many hours without using the bathroom. The mention here can make people nervous. You will prompt them to use the bathroom before lying down anyway.

I would put the technology part for ‘before the session’. The online clients might need time to set up and test their internet and whether their cables are long enough and their headset. Not everyone read everything and you want to put the ‘must do’ thing at the beginning.

The self care part: I am the kind of nerd who want to be well prepared. When you put it like that some people meditate, some people avoid caffeine, I would feel inadequate if I don’t meditate or thinking whether there are things I should avoid. And I wouldn’t know what I feel is best for me without having any experience with hypnosis. I would prefer that you give suggestion and perhaps even tell me why. For example, (I’m making it up) some people can be sensitive to caffeine and it’s best to finish your coffee an hour before our appointment time. Some people find it helpful to meditate regularly before a session. If you have not meditate before, here’s a simple one for you … (link to simple meditation or something).

    Love,

    Stephanie
