Business question: I have noticed many of you practitioners on this forum have a website of some sort established. I purchased a site through WordPress. It is not launched as of yet. I started it to be an avenue to post writings and short stories that are spiritual in nature. I want to share meditative journeys I experience in a story form that would possibly teach techniques and information about our larger reality of spirituality.
To the point, was WordPress a good choice and have any of you other practitioners used it. Seems to me that both my writings and BQH could be combined.

    Hello Kevin
Congratulations on starting your website. This is very exciting.
I have not used WordPress but I hear it is very flexible and you can create anything you want with it.
I use Squarespace and find it very good.
    All the best ?

Hi Kevin, I’ve been developing websites for the clients since the last millennium, and now I specialize in WordPress websites. This is not a promo; I’m not taking on new clients as I have quite enough and prefer to develop my BQH practice and writing. But yes, you can do anything with it. If you’ve been blogging already, then you have a great base. You can easily add pages for your BQH practice. Learn about the difference between posts and pages, and how to customize the menu. There are lots of good articles and videos online about using WordPress, especially when you have a specific question. Sites like wpbeginner.com are a good place to start.

    Hi Kevin,

I create websites as well, and I second everything Heather has said about WordPress. It is very flexible and nice that you can add content easily.

Another option would be using a Wix website, which I like because there are a lot of other features you can easily add and customize to your website (bookings, live video, etc.). Plus, you can customize the look of your website in bigger ways than WordPress allows. This is in no way a promo either. While I like WordPress’ versatility, I have been also finding some things frustrating – you have to add/use plugins for certain features and keep them updated. Which can be navigated… I just found Wix to have better solutions for clients’ needs.

You should be in good hands with WordPress the more you learn about it though.
