  • Why I am not getting notifications about clients’ messages?

Irina Nola Posted by Irina Nola on 2025-10-09 at 4:32 AM

I had to re-sign into the forum and ended up on my dashboard, and saw lots of new messages from clients, I had never known existed. Some of them also contacted me via my own website, but most never did that, and I did not know I had those messages, and did not get any notifications from Quantum Healers.  Is there a setting to make sure I am getting these messages into my private email, or are we supposed to be checking our dashboards? Why am I getting emails about posts on the Forum, but not about messages from paying clients?

    Hi Irina,

Thanks for posting this on the Forum so everyone can be reminded of the answer.

The simple answer is yes, if the Directory is important to you from a business standpoint, you should be looking at your Dashboard frequently. Looking for client messages, checking reviews, updating your content, uploading new photos, videos, blogs, writing, etc.

I checked my email logs, and I received an email copy of all of your client notifications so they were generated and sent to you by the system. What we have zero control over, is how and when your email provider (gmail in this case) chooses to deliver those messages. Their spam algorithm changes ALL the time and nobody knows how, by design. We always recommend that you whitelist *.quantumhealers.com in your settings and there are multiple posts in the Forum archives about this and how to generally do it but a simple search on your browser or AI will provide the steps if you’re unsure.

    Kind regards,

    Tom

(btw, while checking on your profile Irina, I accidentally replied to the message above from your profile instead of mine (no caffeine yet) which I’ve deleted and applied correctly here, so the ‘blank’ notification was my fault…apologies for any confusion caused)

I might indeed send everything from your website into spam on my side, as I was getting a lot of emails about posts on the forum, so I marked them as spam. But I wonder if there is a possibility to block notifications about forum posts, but send clients’ or other practitioners’ private messages into the Gmail inbox? Because in the past, I was receiving clients’ messages but not notifications about forum posts.

Dang Irina…that really hurts. Every time you mark something from us as Spam, you are telling Gmail that everything from this address is not legitimate so they start treating our email address as a spammer in their algorithm which will impact ALL members if it happens enough times. Marking something as Spam is treated very seriously these days by mail engines.  In addition, when you do that you ‘train’ gmail to not deliver messages to you from that source.

You can help undo this by going into your spam folder and change all messages from us that you can find in your spam folder and mark them as Not Spam to help re-train the algorithm and your profile.

As to getting unwanted Forum posts, simply log in to the Forum and uncheck all Notifications (I just did this for you) and you won’t get any emails about posts.  Please remember though, if you engage in a conversation about a post, the system will think you want to stay engaged and will send you follow up posts unless you click the box that says Don’t Subscribe to this post.  If you delete all Forum post notifications, you will only get client and private messages.
