Ellen Mathys, MPH, is the director of Wild Sage Healing Arts in Atlanta. She is a gifted shaman, quantum energy healer, hypnotherapist, evidential medium, spiritual channel, cowrie shell diviner, and creator of healing communities. She leads the MoonRise Shamanic Immersion Program and runs and co-teaches the program Level Up: Intuitive Development for Youth. Her greatest joy and passion is helping people understand and reclaim their life purpose, personal power and spiritual medicine.
Shamanism is an ancient spiritual way of being, that honors the connectedness and sacredness of all things. As a spiritual practice, Shamanism predates, embraces and complements all religious faiths. Ellen honors and integrates elements of spirituality from across the globe into her Shamanic work. Ellen has trained with Malidoma Patrice Somé, an Author, Diviner and Elder from Burkina Faso. Ellen has been blessed to participate in trainings and workshops in other Shamanic traditions from Peru (Don Oscar Miro-Quesada), Nepal (Bhola Banstola/ Robinette Kennedy), Greenland (Angaangaq Angakkorsuaq), and South Africa (John Lockley).
Ellen completed training in Quantum Healing and Hypnosis Technique (QHHT, Level 2), as well as Beyond Quantum Healing (BQH). She completed training under Carl Woodall in the Anastasi System of Psychic Development and a workshop with James Van Praagh. Ellen achieved her Reiki Master training under Teresa Hager in Usui Reiki, completed Karuna and Holy Fire Reiki training under Muskogee Creek and Cherokee Healer Nancy Scott Fields, and earned a certificate in Reiki in Childbirth under Yves Gray. She is certified in Auric Light Alchemy (ALA), Selenite Swords of Light healing, and Arcturian Healing. She is also a certified Minister. Volunteering in Georgia, Ellen provided energy healing to female inmates in prisons, and provided loving support and energy healing to Hospice patients as they crossed over into the Light. She also provides energy healing to horses involved in an equine-assisted therapy program.
In addition to working as a Shaman and energy healer, Ellen has worked as an International Food Security and Early Warning and Response Specialist. She has worked in almost thirty countries in Africa, Central America, the Caribbean, and elsewhere. Her spiritual home has always been Africa, where her soul sings and her dreams come alive. She loves travel, gardening for sustainability and wildlife, and working to support social equity and climate change issues. Wild Sage supports non-profit organizations that work on human trafficking and other urgent public health and social justice issues.
Ellen believes passionately that each of us is connected to Spirit, and we have an endless fountain of wisdom and joy to draw on if we know how to listen. There is a global movement in which people are becoming more aware of our true abilities, our power and our connectedness to the Earth and to each other. Ellen believes that each and every one of us is part of that movement – should we choose to listen. It is Ellen’s greatest joy to create safe spaces for teaching, ritual, and self-discovery, so each of us can step fully into our power, authenticity and magic.
