When the Inner World Whispers
What I have noticed, again and again in sessions, is that the inner world rarely presents itself the way we expect it to. Many come to this work carrying the idea that meaningful inner experiences should unfold like a movie scene. Vivid, visual, populated with figures and landscapes we can describe afterwards in detail. And for some people that is exactly how it progresses. But for others, what presents looks a little different. Maybe a pressure in the chest, a colour flashing, a familiar feeling, a sense of being very small, or ancient, or held, or maybe just a knowing with nothing visual attached to it at all.
These are impressions, and they carry every bit as much validity as a fully formed scene. They are simply another way the inner world speaks.
No matter how much we are encouraged to let go of expectations around Beyond Quantum Healing (BQH) sessions, often we still quietly expect past life events to stream like a film, guides to appear with clear faces, messages to come through as spoken words. When something subtler happens instead, there can be a kind of deflation, a worry that the experience is subpar. And yet when we stay with what arrives, it is almost always rich with meaning. It simply needed to be met on its own terms rather than measured against a different kind of experience altogether.
What I have come to understand is that the inner world communicates through whatever channel is most available to a person, and that channel is not the same for everyone. Some of us are highly visual. Some of us feel things in the body before we ever see anything. Some of us know things, suddenly and certainly, without any image or sensation attached at all. None of these is a lesser version of the others. None of it is a consolation prize for people who can’t “really” do inner work. It is simply a different dialect of the same language.
What I tell clients is that the more we trust what arrives, however it arrives, the more alive and flowing it becomes. The channel opens in proportion to how much we honour what comes through it. When we second-guess every impression, when we hold it up against some imagined cinematic standard and find it wanting, we are quietly teaching the inner world that what it offers isn’t what we are seeking. And it responds by quieting down because it has learned that what it does offer isn’t valued.
The reverse is also true, and this is where things get interesting. When we receive an impression, even a faint one, even one that seems too small or strange to matter, and we simply acknowledge it, stay with it, let it be enough… something shifts. The channel widens. More comes through. The inner world has been met rather than dismissed, and it responds to that. This is where the magic begins to move. The impressions strengthen, become more textured, more distinct.
So if you are standing at the edge of this work, curious about what a BQH session might open up for you… trust that whatever arrives will be exactly what needs to arrive. The unconscious knows what it’s doing. Your only job is to show up with as much openness as you can gather, and let the images, feelings, knowings, and impressions lead you somewhere you couldn’t have found by thinking your way there.
