Healing Connections

An interesting thing happens when someone decides to begin to walk the path of a healer. Of course, there is the obvious – skills are learned and knowledge is gained, and in turn the healer is more equipped to be of service to others. What can be surprising is the potential for growth and deep enrichment for the healer in their own lives.

Something I learned long ago is that one can, genuinely, follow the healer’s path and not necessarily begin to offer services or accept clients. One can focus upon the expansion of one’s own energetic expression and soul growth within that context and eventually, when the time is right, create a client-focused practice should they choose. I know a number of powerful healers who haven’t. And possibly never will.

There are a number of creative ways one can be in service-to-others and they need not be a direct service! You almost certainly have heard of the phrase, “Be the change you wish to see.” Heal the self, heal the world.

The last two years have emphasized the undeniable requirement for humans to have actual and physical contact with each other to thrive as a species. Quantum connections through our screens yes, are real, and yes, they are powerful, but we simply cannot replace our constant human social needs as a species through Zoom meetings. We need real, warm, heart-to-heart contact to be our healthiest self. We need this in our personal and family life first and foremost, of course, but as a healer, physically connecting with other healers, increases that energetic potential exponentially. Interacting with other people is at the core of what it means to BE human.

We have needed each other more than ever since 2020. Healers are no different. The forced separation and distancing have been detrimental, no question about it. Healers need each other more than ever and interacting physically with other healers creates a profound atmosphere of healing for all.
